First 15 days of Ramadan in August - Ramdan course for young people aged 14 plus

This year Ramadan will take place in August, generally a month during which many take their Summer break, an ideal time to be with us in Alqueria enjoying the ambiance, tranquility and the opportunity to share the experience of fasting.  

 You will have time to enjoy the surroundings and to relax, to be with family or friends, to take part in workshops and classes on offer and to celebrate the day of Eid with us.  It is an ideal time to meet like minded people from different cultures and countries.

This year we are offering classes in tajweed, Quran, memorisation, a look at the importance and significance of fasting through informal talks and discussions aswell as extra prayers and study if desired.

The two workshops are with experienced and qualified teachers and consist of Andalusian Ceramics  and Andalusian Calligraphy (working with leather using an old  traditional Andalusian method).

The Ramadan course for young people will involve a daily programme of activities and study, aimed at working together and understanding the spirit behind fasting.

Experience the unity of fasting, prayer, sharing food and celebrating Eid at Alqueria. 

The cost of the course including all food, accommodation, activities, tuition and materials is 600 euros per person.
